D. Optional Tours and Special Programs
Students and Parents have the option of either attending two of the 25-minute tours listed in Section One, or one of the longer
sampler sessions or tour listed in Section Two.

Section ONE Tours include:
Colorado Space Grant Consortium:
Provides students access to space through innovative courses, real-world hands-on telescope and satellite programs, and interactive outreach programs.  Our students interact with engineers and scientists from NASA and aerospace companies to develop, test, and fly new space technologies and to support our outreach and teaching programs.

CU Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE): Formula SAE is a global design competition that challenges students to design and manufacture a single seat race car.  Working as a team, students apply classroom knowledge and gain practical engineering experience while controlling all aspects of a large engineering project.

Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory (ITLL): The ITLL is a state-of-the-art undergraduate design facility that provides 34,400 square feet where students can engage in hands-on design activities, including a plaza that facilitates interdisciplinary, team-based projects, along with manufacturing and electronics centers where students can create what they dream.

Residence Halls: Prospective students and parents will have the opportunity to tour the Engineering "Quad".  These residence halls are conveniently located next to the Engineering Center and provide residents with academic support through the Quadrangle Community Engineering and Sciences Residential Program.

Section TWO Tours include:
Campus Tour:
Representatives from the Office of Admissions will provide guided tours of the CU-Boulder campus.

Multicultural Engineering Program Open House (MEP):  The Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP) is an academic excellence community committed to serving multicultural and first-generation students in engineering and applied science.

Women in Engineering Program Open House (WIEP):  The mission of WIEP is to foster the success of women in engineering by recruiting, retaining, and encouraging women engineering students. They offer academic advising, personal counseling, and programs such as peer mentoring.
