CU Selected for NACME Scholarship Program
CU has been selected as one of four universities nationally to be added to the NACME Block Grant Scholarship Program. NACME (the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering) was instituted by the National Academy of Engineering in 1974 to help lead the national effort to increase the representation of successful African American, American Indian and Latino women and men in engineering and technology, math- and science-based careers.

NACME will award the college $25,000 annually for the next five years (starting in 2004-05) to support at least 10 underrepresented minority engineering new freshmen MEP scholars. The program replaces NACME's Vanguard Scholarship Program, which has been discontinued (although previously selected Vanguard Scholars continue to be funded through graduation). For more information, contact MEP Director Dave Aragon at 303-492-2944.
