Transfer Credit

How credits will transfer is a concern that many prospective transfer students have. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. Once an acceptance offer has been made, the initial transfer credit evaluation is made by the Office of Admissions. However, the major department that you have been accepted into has the final say regarding which credits will count toward the department curriculum. Just because credits are accepted by admissions does not mean that they will count towards your degree requirements. Thus, it is a good idea to contact your designated Transfer Credit Evaluator as soon after your admissions confirmation as possible and ideally before you plan your schedule.
