Corporate Advocate Award

Ken Taylor,
vice
president of
research and
development
for ConMed
Electrosurgery, accepts the
college's first Corporate Advocate Award in 2005. Taylor is
a founding member of the Department of Mechanical
Engineering's Industrial Advisory Council and a
leader in the development of the Durning Laboratory, an
important resource for student research and capstone design
projects. Taylor's efforts have resulted in many valuable
interactions
between the
college and
the medical
instrument
industry. |

The College of
Engineering and Applied Science introduced the Corporate Advocate
Award in 2005 to recognize those individuals whose volunteer efforts have benefited the college's students
and faculty and built stronger ties between the college and the
individual's corporation(s).
Award nominations are made by the department
chairs and program directors of the college and submitted to the dean.
