Space Systems and Science

The University of Colorado is uniquely positioned to become the leading institution for the integrated study of space science and engineering systems. Participants include the departments of Aerospace Engineering Sciences (AES), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (APS); and the Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy (CASA),  Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), and Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (PAOS).

Future missions will increasingly depend on tight integration of science requirements and spacecraft systems technology.  Following are key elements currently being pursued by CU faculty members working with their industry and government partners:
