Jessica Wright-Bowen,
Senior Director of Development
Jessica was named senior director
of the engineering development team in October 2007. She brings more
than 14 years of experience working in nonprofit and corporate
environments, including serving as executive director of the
Mountain States Council of the American Electronics Association and
prior to that, executive director of the Colorado Technology Community
Foundation (now called KidsTek). She holds a bachelor of science
in business administration and marketing from Colorado State
University.

Marcia Simmons, Development Associate
Marcia's career has been in public relations, marketing ,and
news media. She served as a news anchor, reporter, and producer
for TV stations in Albuquerque and KOA radio in Denver. She also
has taught communications, marketing, and journalism classes for
Kaplan University and Metro State College. Most recently, she
was the marketing and public relations director with Malbur
Exchange Group & Associates. Marcia has a master's degree in
communications management from Colorado State University.

Javier Gallegos, Development Assistant
Javier is a graduate of CU-Boulder. He worked for
several departments at the University of Colorado from 1993
thru 2002, including the CU Pre-Collegiate Development
Program, CU Residence Halls, and Information Technology
Services. After graduating from CU, he held various
positions with the City of Boulder and comes to us most
recently from Valleylab, a subsidiary of Tyco Healthcare.
This is his first venture with the CU Foundation. Javier has
a diverse set of skills that are well-suited to assist the
development staff.
