Out of State Travel Information

For those of you that will be traveling to the High School Honors Institute and arriving a day early due to flights or travel times, you must request an extra night stay in the dorm. The cost of the extra night is $40. (This fee is needed at the same time as your reservation payment so that we can reserve a room for you.)

For those of you flying into Denver International Airport (referred to as DIA, however, the airport code is DEN), the college will send a representative to meet you on Saturday, July 26th . We have scheduled two pickup times, one at approximately 11:00 a.m. and another at approximately 5:00 p.m. Please schedule your flights so that you arrive before the pickup time. The bus will depart no earlier than 11:00 am or 5:00 pm.

If you are unable to meet these times you may wish to take the Airport Shuttle, Regional Transportation Bus, or taxi to Boulder. The prices range from $10 for the bus to $105 for a taxi. In case of flight delays, please be prepared to use one of the alternate transportations as the university will not be able to pick you up.  (Suggested transportation below)

There is no pickup for a Sunday arrival. If you arrive on Sunday you must arrange flight and travel times so that you arrive in Boulder no later than 10:00 a.m.

Sunday registration for the Institute begins at 10:00 a.m. The students check in for the Institute and also check into their rooms before the first session begins at 12:30 p.m.

For those of you flying home on Wednesday, we will have a bus take you to DIA for your return flight. The bus will leave campus between 3-3:15 p.m. and takes at least 1 hour to get to DIA. You will also need to add enough time for security checks before your flight leaves. We recommend that you select a flight that leaves DIA at 6 p.m. or later.

Regional Transportation SkyRide
Provides service from DIA to Boulder and Boulder to DIA. Cost $10. For information call 303-299-6000 then dial 1-2-1.

Super Shuttle
Provides service from DIA to Boulder and Boulder to DIA. Reservations are required. Cost $20-$25. For information call: 303-227-0000.

Taxi Service
Provides service from DIA to Boulder and Boulder to DIA. Cost can be as high as $105 (based on mileage). Cabs can be found at the passenger pickup area of DIA.
