Faculty and Staff Awards
The College of Engineering and Applied Science accepts nominations
for the following awards to recognize outstanding faculty and staff
in the college. Click on the designated link for nomination
procedures and selection criteria.
Nominations by Students
- Outstanding
Advisor Award recognizes a faculty and/or staff advisor in the
college who demonstrates exceptional advising skills and who serves
as a role model to other advisors in the college. Nominations
due: May 16, 2008
- John & Mercedes Peebles Innovation
in Education Award
recognizes
a faculty member in the college who has shown a unique commitment to
students demonstrated through innovations in education.
Nominations due: April 7, 2008
- Sullivan-Carlson Innovation in Teaching
Award
recognizes an instructor in the college who demonstrates initiative
and innovation in developing and using hands-on curriculum.

Ongoing Awards

Professional Exempt Employee Award recognizes special
contributions or accomplishments to the college.

Classified Staff Employee Award recognizes a classified staff
member's special accomplishments or contributions to the college,
such as excellent customer service, innovative ideas that serve to
improve the college, creativity in the workplace, and exemplary
performance while completing a project or job task.

Employee Recognition Award was established to help retain the
best employees and provide incentive for continued excellence. The
award is rotated between the various departments and programs on a
monthly basis to ensure that each unit has the opportunity to honor
its staff.

Dean's Performance Awards
recognize outstanding performance by faculty and are awarded
annually in the categories of teaching, research, professional
progress, and junior faculty.
