The following information is a guideline for students seeking
to earn an International Engineering Certificate in German.

courses/9-12 hours)
- Three college-level (9-12 credits) German language courses
taken at a level commensurate with the student's ability.

beginner with no German background would take German 1010, 1020, 2010

- Students who meet prerequisites must take at least one of the
following: GRMN 2022 Scientific German, GRMN 3020 Professional German,
or GRMN 4030 Business German.
- Courses that repeat a student's prior knowledge of German will
not apply toward this certificate.
- Students who start language courses at the level 3020 or above may
substitute German literature/culture courses taught in German for some
language courses.
