What is Explore Engineering Day?

Explore Engineering Day is a high-energy event for high school students designed to introduce them to engineering fields and the University of Colorado through

  • Dynamic engineering demos and activities
  • A campus tour with a look at on-campus living
  • Interaction with CU engineering students
  • Information on engineering careers
  • and MORE!
  • Check out the Engineering Expo in the afternoon

When is the next Explore Engineering Day?

    The 2009 event will be held on
    Saturday - April 25th on
    the CU-Boulder campus.

    Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Benson Earth Sciences Atrium.

    The day will wrap up around 3 p.m.

Who should attend?

    Students
    Explore Engineering Day is a hands-on event for high school students who are interested in or would like to learn more about a career in math, science, engineering, or technology. Students who are interested in medicine, law, fine arts and business will also learn about opportunities made available to them through an undergraduate education in engineering.

    Parents, Teachers and Counselors
    Parents, teachers, and counselors who are interested in learning more about the exciting field of engineering are encouraged to register and attend. We will have separate workshops designed to help you understand what CU has to offer and how to encourage our young women to pursue engineering.





How much does it cost
and what does that cover?

    Registration is FREE, and covers a continental breakfast, lunch in a CU dining hall* and event materials.

    *Teachers, parents, and counselors will be on their own for lunch.

   

Where is Explore Engineering Day?

    Explore Engineering Day is held on the University of Colorado's Boulder campus, with the day starting in the Benson Earth Sciences Building. Specific driving directions and details will be included in a confirmation email sent to each registrant.
