Science Fair Judges Needed:
Help out at the largest secondary fair in the Boulder Valley School District.  Judging will be held Wed. Jan. 7th - Thurs. Jan 8th from 7:30 - 3p.m. Donate as little as one hour and you would be contributing greatly!  For more details contact Nancy Glissman at 303-817-4271.  Click here for a description of the judging categories.

BOLD Center News and Events
Finals Week is just around the corner.  Don't forget that the Student Success Center offers free tutoring in Calc 1-3, Diff Eq, and Chemistry.  The tutors are available Sunday - Thursday 12-8p.m. in ECCE 107 (within the BOLD Center).

WIEP Yoga and Dance with Dr. Shelly Miller - Join Dr. Shelly Miller and other students in this exciting opportunity to relax, meet new people, and learn new movements.  The next session will be in the DLC - Bechtel Collaboratory, Today from 5:30 - 6:30p.m.

WIEP End of Semester Luncheon is on Wednesday, December 3rd from 11-1p.m. in the BOLD Center.  Don't miss this opportunity to mingle with your peers and celebrate another successful semester.

MEP Gala Committee Meeting - The 2009 MEP Gala is just around the corner.  We will hold our first meeting on Tuesday, December 9th from 2p.m. - 3p.m. in the Clark Conference Room.  If you would like to participate, please email Rebecca.Megill@Colorado.edu.

MEP Potluck - Bring a dish to share and celebrate another semester's hard work with the rest of the BOLD Center frequenters on Wednesday, December 10th from 11a.m. - 2p.m.

Need to Take the MCAT?
MCAT study courses are being offered from Jan. 31 - Mar. 28 and May 16 - July 11, Every Saturday from 9a.m. - 5p.m. The cost is minimal compared to the benefit of not having to retake it - call Tony Oliva (a 9th year MD/PhD student) at 303-906-8276 or email at Olivaam@hotmail.com.  This course was solicited through the Office of Diversity.

Need and extra course?  Here are a couple of classes worth looking into:
 
INVS 3041: Self and Consciousness - explore human development, self-image, social consciousness and political transformation.
INVS 3304: Human Rights: Promotion and Protection - role of non-governmental organizations in the evolution of ideology, social structures and strategies.
ENVS 3930-800: Education for Sustainability: Earth Education - 3 credit internship offered in Spring 2009.  One hour in a teaching practicum, teaching next generation about sustainability and environmental issues!  For more information, click here.
WMST 3700-004: African and African American Women in Cinema - enjoy movies and snacking during movies? This is the class for you!

Engineering Merit Scholarship:  If you have at least a 3.0 GPA or will by May 2009 and are a full time student for the 2009-10 academic year, you are qualified for this scholarship.  Apply here.  Get your application in early!
